The major ports in Turkey are Istanbul, Antalya, Bandirma, Izmir, Mersin and Marmaris, with services offered by a number of shipping and cruise organisations, such as Turkish Maritime Lines (TML), Epirotiki and Golden Sun Cruises. Ferry routes are also available to and from Italy, Cyprus, Greece and the Greek Islands. All ships and private yachts entering Turkey must do so via a registered port.
