It is a lot easier to purchase off plan property in Turkey than might be expected – especially with a lawyer that speaks both Turkish and English – the buying process is not too different from that of most Southern European countries. With the government wanting to encourage foreign investment in the country, the buying process has been simplified and is carried out with the minimum of bureaucracy. Foreigners are allowed to purchase land and property anywhere in Turkey in their own names, so long as it isn’t military or government owned land. Foreign buyers can also sell on their property at a later date and are allowed to remove all funds from the sale out of the country.
